Monarch Butterfly Full Specimen resin necklace-- Danaus plexippus
The iconic rock star of the butterfly world, with successive generations working their way north during the summer and a "super generation" migrating to overwintering areas in Mexico and California.
Specimens we use are sourced from butterfly farms working with healthier east coast populations.
Not all options currently have images. We expect to collect and add them over time.
One full specimen, abdomen and antennae removed, wings connected back together as one piece.
Gorgeous epoxy resin finish on each side.
Choice of chain -- please refer to chain pictures: 1) Sterling silver plated snake chain in 18 or 22 inch length -- attached at center top of specimen 2) Full sterling silver wheat chain in 18 or 24 inch length -- attached at center top of specimen 3) Full sterling silver SPLIT wheat chain in 18 inch length -- attached at wingtips of specimen. (See the sunset moth for example)
Choice of specimen pose (for relaxed example see sunset moth): 1) Forewing trailing edge at near right angle to vertical axis of specimen (as currently pictured) 2) Forewings in more natural relaxed back position.
**Made for you. Ships approximately 2 weeks from placing order. We will contact you with an initial image of the specimen pose and consult on size of specimen (if applicable) before beginning the resin process**
