Pacific Green Sphinx Moth Resin Earrings -- Proserpinus lucidus
A very interesting early season sphinx moth. These fly in March in the Columbia Basin, many times when there is still snow on the ground.
We collect them each year as the first species of the season.
Larvae feed on evening primrose family plants, and pupate underground.
Two gorgeous real Pacific Green Sphinx Moth wing sets, from one specimen for symmetry. (The hindwind and forewings are connected as a pair. If just the hindwing or just the forewing is preferred, let us know and we can make that happen :)
Wings have a lovely epoxy resin finish on each side.
Choice of .925 sterling silver ear wires, or hypoallergenic Niobium ear wires. (Niobium are less shiny, but contain no nickel. See picture)
